For over 40 years, On The Way has been a staple in the Chilliwack River region. Once a small convenience store, On The Way has blossomed into a one-stop shop for adventurers, outdoor enthusiasts, the pursuers of snacks, and even kids just looking for a scoop of ice cream on a warm day.

When your "On The Way" to go to fishing, swimming, hiking or camping...
Enriched in history, eagle-eyed visitors will notice photographs throughout the store dating back to the early 1980’s. Having been taken over by a few different owners throughout the years, it wasn’t until 2018 that Lorne and Mary Grove became the new owners and reopened with some long-term plans.

Proudly catering to our locals
It was in August 2018 that On The Way reopened offering just the bare essentials. Lorne and Mary were keen to learn about their customers and what they needed to offer in-store, so they kept a notepad at the register and noted down each and every product that was inquired about. At the end of each day, they would look through the product inquiries and decide what was essential for those “On The Way” to their next adventure.
Today, On The Way offers a wide variety of groceries, snacks, camping supplies, fishing tackle, hardware, tools, firewood, and ice. Additionally, for those looking to satisfy their hunger, you’ll find a neat little hot dog stand right next door offering up some of the tastiest comfort foods.
